Purpose
The purpose of the Education Committee is to empower and enrich the lives of individuals in our community by providing educational opportunities that foster personal growth, support professional development, and encourage active community engagement.

Goal Statement
The goal of the Education Committee is to advance knowledge and promote lifelong learning in our community by:

  • Organizing workshops, seminars, and speaker events that offer valuable insights on a wide range of topics;
  • Establishing scholarship programs and educational initiatives that support individuals in pursuing higher education and achieving their academic goals;
  • Providing access to resources, information, and materials that encourage continuous personal and professional development.

For: Future K–12 Education Scholars

Founded in 1891, The Woman’s Club of Coconut Grove is dedicated to the enrichment of the community through the promotion of public welfare, education, civic improvement, historic preservation, and the advancement of arts and culture, while fostering good fellowship among its members. Throughout its history, the Club has served as a social, educational, and cultural center where individuals—women and men—come together to build community through service and shared commitment to educational opportunity.
 
Education has always been central to the Club’s mission. Through this scholarship, The Woman’s Club of Coconut Grove seeks to support future educators, recognizing the essential role teachers play in shaping individuals, communities, and society.
 

Eligibility

  • Open to students of all genders
  • Intended for high school seniors who will be entering college and plan to pursue a degree in Education (including K–12 and related education pathways)

Scholarship Awards

  • 1–2 qualifying students will be awarded scholarships ranging from $1,000 to $2,000

Please complete the application form below and upload the following materials:

  • resume
  • A brief essay describing what motivated you to pursue a degree in the field of Education

Application Deadline: Friday, April 17, 2026, by 5:00 PM (EST)

Award Presentation

Scholarship recipient(s) will be invited to attend a Woman’s Club of Coconut Grove event for the formal presentation of the scholarship award. Additional details will be shared with selected recipients.
