Since 2001, the Woman’s Club of Coconut Grove has held an annual Young Artists’ Gallery (YAG) that has given over $150,000 in scholarships to winners of this annual juried art show for Miami-Dade County public high school students. Beyond the opportunity to win a college scholarship, the students gain experience by exhibiting their work in a public show, have an opportunity to sell their work to art patrons, meet and receive counsel from the coordinators and win accolades that will support their portfolio when building their career. YAG engages art professionals, art enthusiasts, local artists and supporters of this annual juried show. Coordinators and club members raise scholarship funds from individuals, foundations and corporations.
